Kristin,
This is my first time commenting. After a video like that, I felt that it would be a great time to do so. About the video, I think that's lovely. I may eventually tire of all the MJ memorialization, but at I am not there yet. That is really fun. [Were you in the crowd dancing? :)]
I also wanted to let you know that I just recently discovered you. I love serious novels that deal with real-life decisions and sacrifices. Though I loved every story I read, I was ready for something a little more light-hearted and my sister recommended "Firefly Lane". I took it on and was not disappointed, to say the least. I came away from "Firefly Lane" gratified and fulfilled. I loved the way you handled every aspect of ALL the characters lives.
I came to your website looking for more of your titles and was pleasantly surprised to see that 1--you have a blog and 2--you actually keep it updated. I have back-read all your previous entries AND the comments. You and the other Fireflies all have a way of engaging the basic core of all women, and that is refreshing.
Please keep up all the hard work of this blog and writing novels. It is comfortable to read something that feels like your best friend could have wrote it.
I intend to keep coming back here as long as you do, I'm continually catching up on your earlier novels, and I'm loving every minute of it all.
Thanks so much,
Kayla
(P.S. Congrats to Kim on her first publishing. Can't wait to read you also!)

Thanks, Kayla, and welcome to the firefly blog! We love it when new faces show up.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the MJ street dance. It just made me smile, I have to say, and no, I was not in the crowd dancing. I try never to dance in public, actually. I'm afraid someone will call 911 because they think I'm having a seizure. So while I might KNOW the moves, I wouldn't attempt them. :)

Glad you're loving the books, too. They are such a joy to write; it's always great to hear that people enjoy them as much as I love writing them.

Keep in touch!

Kristin,
Don't want to be a bother, but I had just a few things to say after your response.

First, thanks for the response. It's wild to hear from an author that I am reading.

Second, have fun in Waikiki. I wish I could say I was there (or even anywhere even half as relaxing as Waikiki sounds) but unfortunately I possess no money and school has already started back here (in NC).

Lastly, if MJ's music and moves can't convince you to dance, I would have to agree you would be a hard one to convince to dance. However, I am sure you're not so bad that we would call 911. (Especially maybe if the song was Thriller).

Have fun and be safe!

Um, I seem to recall a Thursday night at the Tahini Nui (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) where you were out on that tiny dance floor kicking up your heels... :)

And welcome to our newest Firefly Kayla!!!

Hey 3K's (Kristin, Kayla & Kim!)

Just saw that we're having an MJ flashmob (didn't know the word, but added it to my vocabulary) in my province in Belgium tomorrow too! Pretty cool, but I won't be attending. For one, cuz I'll be at a funeral and secondly because I'm not the type to dance in public unless I know very well that I know the steps and moves to a T.

I'm just too much of a perfectionist for that, I guess. I mean: I love to be on a stage (teaching is a bit like that too, I think), but I prefer to do things I know I can do. Like I know my classes and I know I can sing a decent tune or play a good role as an actress, so I'll do that rather than dancing. I'm just too clumsy to be a good dancer. lol

I'm now on a mission, though. If I ever have the chance of meeting Kristin at the Amsterdam airport, I no longer want an autograph, but I want to see you dancing! Nobody knows you there anyways, so no worries! And 911 won't work in Europe, so that'll help too. Plus I always have my camera handy when I'm at an airport, so this could be lots of fun!

On another note: I too loved the siblings picture! Makes me kinda regret what all I missed out on while being an only child. I still miss that - even though I've got my adopted family in Canada now! :) Oh yeah, and my sis the writer... who is indeed wonderful in being the genuine person that she is and being part of this group as "just one of us" instead of as the real Queen Firefly she'd deserve to act like, complete with the stuck up attitude and such! ;)

Love,
Leen

Leen,
You still could've went to the dance--just to feel the love, if nothing else.

I vote that everyone should add "Dance wildly at least once in public, just for the heck of it" to their Bucket List. I can only imagine how fun, funny, and lasting that memory would be.

Just a thought.
