Just between us...Ssshhhh....

Good evening, friends--

We've been having another fun chat on the blog this month, and I want to thank everyone for chiming in. I really appreciate hearing from you!

And now (drum roll, please), I actually have something interesting to pass along. An opportunity. In a nutshell, here it is: my publisher has sent me a very small number of galleys for my next book, True Colors. Well, they're not actually galleys--they're what's called bound manuscripts. this means they've taken my manuscript pages, reduced them to the size of a hardcover novel, and bound them in some way. These pages have not been copyedited (checked for mistakes, typos, etc.) or finalized yet, but they're pretty darn close to the final book. Obviously, when I heard this, I knew I had to go to my faithful blog-friends first.

So, here's the scoop. I have two copies of the manuscript. Would any of you like to read it? All you have to do is tell my publisher what you think. Easy as pie.

Anyone who is interested, please send your name, along with something that identifies you as a "True Colors hopeful" and let me know you'd like to receive an early peek at what I honestly believe is my most romantic novel in years. There's only one catch. I have to mail these out ASAP (the publisher is hoping to hear what you think of the book by late July). So we'll be choosing the winner by Wednesday. We'll put all the names in a hat and draw out the two winners, so send your snail mail address along, too.

I know it's late notice, and I'm sorry. Think of it as a lucky break for the few of you who are regulars to the blog. I'll have a big, no-holes-barred contest for the ARCs of True Colors at the end of the summer. Promise.

I look forward to hearing back from you...

aloha,
Kristin

Please, please, please - consider me as a "True Colors hopeful"! Loved Firefly Lane - stayed up until 3:00 AM to finish it, sobbing all the way. Can't wait to read your next book. I usually read 3-4 books a week. It got so expensive to buy books, that I have become a regular at the local library. I also check out garage sales in the summer for extra reading material for Michigan winters! Thanks for being such a great writer!

Hi Everyone. Wow, the response to Kristin's bound galley contest has been great! Keep your comments coming. Like Kristin said, her publisher would need to have a review of the book by the end of July, but I can assure you, once you start reading you won't be able to stop. As to how to enter, please feel free to leave a comment on the blog, but to protect your privacy, send your snail mail address to Kristin via the contact page. Also, if you don't see your blog entry posted, please know that the only reason we haven't posted it is because it contained your private information. But rest assured, you are still in the drawing. Okay, hope that answers all the questions. And good luck!! I know Kristin wishes she had enough copies to give out to all of you.

Hi Cindy. I just started watching SYTYCD and I am now devoted to Chelsie and Mark. April is going to get sick of me going all fangirl on them, lol! I loved their last routine and then You Tubed to see their past dances. I love how they are able to really put themselves in the dance and tell a story along with the music. *sighs* Makes me wish I had kept up with ballet when I was like 6, lol!

I have been inside of every book that you've written that I have read thus far- they resonate with my soul - 54 - happily married but searching for the new me past child rearing and first career - so I totally connected with Distant Shores. I was raised with brothers but we raised two daughters so the sister interactions strike me as very very real as well. You have an admirable gift!

Our Local library has a book club monthly and we just read the Things We do For Love - after that I went and checked out the 6 books you'd written that were currently available and have 11 more on reserve. I have finished the 7 I have had in my home and both daughters (aged 29 and 25) have read them as I have finished each one.

This is all in two weeks time.

Please allow me the tremendous privledge of being a reader. My brother writes and I know how important the comments are.

Thanks
